Fall Faves: Records!

If you've been a long time reader of the blog you'll know that I am a bit of an audiophile. I recently got rid of about 90% of my cds ( I have a small selection in my car) to make room for more vinyl. I'm not a huge fan of stuff but one of the few things I collect are records and my little collection has grown over the time I've lived in Seattle.

 My taste is pretty eclectic.

When fall hits I usually have the urge to listen to records all the time, maybe it's a throwback from high school and college where I'd go listen to music at a friend's house while we did homework? I don't know. What I do know is that records are in heavy rotation lately and I love it.

  1. I love all your records! My family had a few records when I was growing up, but since high school I've been pretty strictly an MP3 girl. I've been thinking more and more about getting back into records and having those physical copies of some of my favorite albums at least-perhaps my next room renovation might include a new turn table!

    1. Do it! My preferred formats are records and mp3 and some newer records even have digital download codes included when you purchase albums; it's pretty much the best!

  2. Oh yeah, LP's! I grew up on those and have fond memories of listening to The Little Drummer Boy at Christmas or dancing to George Benson's On Broadway or Kool and the Gang's Celebration. I remember how I gifted the Miami Vice song to my brother or listening to Michael Jackson's or Madonna's first LP.

    1. My sister and I listened to the Thriller album over and over again (which is difficult to do when you're not allowed to touch the record player).
