I love gin. During the summer months I usually stick to hard cider and wheat beers but when the weather starts to grow chill I crave something a little stronger. My preferred combination is Bombay Sapphire Gin with lots of ice and extra lime to go with a bit of tonic. There's something about being bundled up and cozy while drinking a refreshing gin & tonic that does wonders for my outlook on life. Do you have a favorite cold weather cocktail?
Yep, Irish coffee with Bailey's and a splash of Grand Marnier...yum!!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite local restaurants does something called a "Hard Press" which is rum, maple, ginger, lemon, and ginger beer. It is sooooo good and very evocative of fall!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds delicious! I'll have to try something similar - I love ginger beer in cocktails!
DeleteDamn girl, you go on that. I need to stock up on margarita or mojito ingredients. I would love to have a bottle of Remi Martin XO in stock.
ReplyDeleteMMM, gin! Have you tried Tanqueray Ten? Lots of botanical flavors, really tasty!
ReplyDeleteHo fun! G and Ts are my summer drink -- I especially like Hendricks gin with a cucumber slice or two in place of lime. When it gets chilly, I switch to brandy old-fashioneds, sweet, or something like hit apple cider with bourbon. I tried a new autumn cocktail last week, armagnac, prosecco, and orange bitters. Highly recommend!
