What a day will bring...

Today brought 11 hours of work, stinky people on the bus, finishing a baby sweater, and some ridiculous commentary from a new, 19 year old co-worker. Bad, bad, good, bad. I can't share the baby sweater since it's for a fellow knitting group attendee and expectant mom but it's super cute and got many accolades by the ladies at my LYS knit night group. I feel a little befuddled with days of the week and times of the day since I'm working so much right now. Do you know that time quickens and slows depending on what you're doing and how you feel about it? Day job lasts a billionty hours but free time at home? About 2 seconds. Yep.

The picture is bad - do you know that reds and purples are pretty much impossible to photograph accurately? They are to me. Anywho, it's another Cecily pattern that I've had in the queue for ages but finally knit up a couple of weeks ago and blocked some time last week.

Pattern: Catherine by Cecily Glowik MacDonald
Yarn: Tosh DK in Tart
Needles: US #4 & US #6 Addi Turbo
Mods: None. I think I have enough yarn left for some short and sweet fingerless mitts. This pattern was absolutely perfect for watching foreign films and Mad Men. There's a good portion of stockinette for really juicy bits of films and the occasional purling and cable crossing for brief boring interludes.

  1. I totally understand how impossible it is to photograph red. Even the best camera turns it orange.
